1) Is it required for the articles of association of a company to specify whether it is a manufacturer or an industry?

Answer: Yes. In case the articles of association do not display such information, they must be revised in order to fit in the requirement.
2) What is the minimal identification required for the sample to be forwarded for the tests?

Answer: As informed by ANATEL, the minimal identification required is: model name; manufacturer and origin (where the sample was produced). This same orientation is valid for commercialized-to-be products, which must be duly identified.
3) Is it really necessary to present inside photographs of the product, even when it has not been launched in the market?

Answer: Yes. As specified by IG06, inside pictures of the product must be presented as well as the upper and lower faces (superior and inferior) of the boards that contain the product so both layout and interconnections can be seen.
4) Does the certification-required ISO9001 belong to the manufacturer or to the factory/plant?

Answer: The ISO 9001 that is required for the certification process always refers to the factory/plant. Sometimes the factory/plant is also the manufacturer.
5) What should I verify in the ISO 9001 in order to confirm whether it is appropriate for the certification process?

Answer: ISO 9001 must be valid, be in the same address as the factory/plant, and its scope must be compatible with the type of product under certification.
6) When is it required for the user's manual to be written in Portuguese?

Answer: when the product under certification applies to general public users, that is, its sale is directly aimed at the end consumer. It must be written in Brazilian Portuguese in those cases.
7) For periodical maintenance with the need for tests, can I send the same product sample submitted to test in the previous certification?

Answer: no. A new sample taken from a currently commercialized batch must be submitted.
8) Why I am supposed to have periodical maintenance if the Homologation Certificate has "unspecified duration"?

Answer: because the Technical Compliance Certificate is a prerequisite to obtain the Homologation Certificate. Once the Technical Compliance Certificate is overdue, the Homologation Certificate is no longer valid and will be suspended.
9) When is the Technical Compliance Certificate maintenance mandatory?

Answer: it is mandatory while the product is commercialized in Brazil.
10) When can an certified product be commercialized?

Answer: it can be put for sale as soon as it is homologated by ANATEL and is duly homologation-identified (ANATEL seal on the product or another kind of homologation identification acknowledged by ANATEL).
11) Who is entitled to make a request for product homologation?

Answer: only companies regularly established in Brazil so they can be deemed responsible for quality, supply, and technical assistance concerned with the product in Brazil.
12) What is the difference between Manufacturer and Factory/Plant?

Answer: The manufacturer is the "technology holder", that is, the one who developed the project of the product under certification. The "Factory/Plant" is the company where the product is manufactured. It can be either the same company run by the manufacturer or an outsourced one.
